The importance

The geological time scale helps scientists understand the history of our earth and enables them to see how the Earth has changed (in all aspects) over the years.

Radiometric dating

Is the process or technique in which we use to date the age of a material by testing the carbon within the material or the rock surrounding the material. Tha includes fossils !!

Relative dating

This process of determining the order of past events during a general time period is used within geological time.
