I am an applied microeconomist and a professor at the Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University, Guangzhou, China. I obtained my PhD in agricultural and resource economics at University of California, Davis.
My research fields include environmental and resource economics, development economics, and agricultural economics.
Recent research focuses on how evolving environmental and resource endowments shape agriculture and rural development, and the role of institutions, infrastructure, and innovation in this process.
I currently serve on the Editorial Council of Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM).
