Welcome to my website!

I am an Assistant Professor in the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI), Shanghai, China. My research interests lie in the interdisciplinary field of computational mechanics and computational geometry. In particular, I develop novel numerical methods to seamlessly integrate computer-aided design, simulation, and manufacturing, which are driven by a broad range of applications such as in engineering design/optimization, computational neuroscience, and advanced manufacturing.
