XI-8 CAPTAIN 'OBSIDIAN' -- PRE-SCPF BACKGROUND

XI-8 Captain Obsidian, real name Nolan Verrill, worked as a Corrections Officer within a North Carolina Maximum-Security prison complex. The SCP Foundation sourced multiple deathrow inmates from this location in order to fill numerous positions among D-Class personnel, and also looked for new members of the security department from prisons such as this one. During a standard transfer of prisoners, an armed riot broke out in which Nolan Verrill was involved with halting. 

After the riot and a screening by SCPF recruitment processes, Verrill along with multiple other corrections officer staff from the location were offered positions in the General Security department.

His prior employment, other than the prison, consists of multiple private-security postings, mostly among the corporate sector.
