How you can Activate Your xFi Pods from the Xfinity App?


Today, the user can enjoy the great deals on Xfinity by Comcast. It gives basic services like Cable TV, High Speed Internet and phone services. Before You Activate Your xFi Pods:

  1. First, you have to download the Xfinity app on the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Your Pods should be placed in a room between your Gateway and an area without coverage.

  3. Make sure to avoid a connection hop.

  4. For the best Wi-Fi signal, your Pods are visible and not blocked by furniture or other kind of objects.

  5. You should not plug your Pods into power outlets which are controlled by a wall switch.

How You Can Get Started?

  1. Firstly, you must turn on Bluetooth on your phone.

  2. After this, you can Sign in with your Xfinity ID.

  3. Now, you have to select the Account icon which is on the top-left corner of the Overview tab.

  4. Here, you have to select Activate xFi Pods under Devices section.

  5. At this point, you have to select which xFi pod you're installing.

  6. Then, you have to click on Get Started to start activating your xFi Pods.

  7. In case, you already have xFi Pods then you should first unplug your older Pods and then select They’re Unplugged if you’re ready to move further with the activation. For more info, tap on xfinity.com/safeinstall.


How to Activate Your xFi Pods?

  1. First, you have to plug in your Pod to an active electrical outlet in your home.

  2. Then, you have to select Next in order to view tips on Pod placement.

  3. You have to hold your phone six inches away from your first Pod in order to make sure that the Xfinity app can linked with the Pods with your account and then connect the first Pod to your Gateway.

  4. If in case, you have more than one Pod, so when your first Pod is connected, then you should plug in your remaining Pods throughout your home.

  5. When the rest of your Pods have been plugged in, then click on All Pods Ready to Go!

  6. When your remaining Pods are plugged in, then you can come online. After all Pods have been connected, then hit on Name Your Pods.

  7. To name your Pods, you have to choose a Pod to name and then hold your mobile device just close to that Pod.

  8. When the app identifies which Pod you are naming, then you have to Enter a name and hit on Confirm Name.

  9. After this, you need to tap Finish Setup.

  10. Now, the activation process is complete.

  11. Then, you have to click on Back to Overview in order to end the set-up.

  12. Here, the Overview tab will show you the status of Gateway, Pods and Advanced Security.

  13. In case, you want to see your Gateway, all your pods and their statuses, just go to My Network by selecting Connect and then hit on See Network.
