The first set of Xena cards was announced shortly after the first wave of Xena merch was being released, and selling extremely well.
That Topps would be doing the set was a good assurance of quality and detail. And with their history of producing cards based on TV shows, the license was in good hands.
The first set of cards to come out in the crazed excitement was well received.
And with great photos and well written backs, made it a lot of fun to collect and a throw back to TV series cards.
There are some excellent card printing technologies used, with the mirror foil and chrome refactors.
