Introduction
X Auto Cleaner (the **“Extension”**) is a Chrome browser extension that helps users manage their experience on X (formerly Twitter). Its features include:
- removing the user’s likes, reposts, and published posts;
- detecting and blocking suspected impersonators in post replies;
- blocking users whose visible posts contain words or phrases selected by the user; and
The Extension is intended for personal use and operates only on X.com and its subdomains.
Information Processed by the Extension
The Extension processes information displayed on X only as necessary to provide its features. This may include:
- X usernames and post/status identifiers;
- visible post and reply text;
- profile-image URLs and image pixels used for perceptual similarity comparisons;
- the user’s likes, reposts, and published posts selected for cleanup;
- follow-status information for the designated sponsor account;
- X GraphQL request schemas and request metadata; and
- authentication-related request headers, including authorization and CSRF headers, required to send authenticated requests to X.
The Extension does not request or collect the user’s X password.
Information Stored Locally
The following information may be stored in `chrome.storage.local` within the user’s Chrome browser profile:
- cleanup and blocking preferences;
- the user’s custom blocked-word list;
- cleanup progress and summary information;
- impersonator and keyword-blocking statistics;
- sponsor follow-verification state and timestamps;
- captured X GraphQL schemas and authentication-related request headers; and
- technical diagnostic logs.
Diagnostic logs may contain usernames, status identifiers, profile-image URLs, short excerpts of visible post text, matching keywords, action results, and error details. Logs are limited by the Extension to the most recent 400 entries.
This locally stored information remains available until it is cleared by the user, overwritten by newer information, removed through Chrome’s extension-data controls, or deleted when the Extension is uninstalled.
Network Communications
The Extension communicates with X.com and X API endpoints to perform actions requested or enabled by the user, including cleanup, blocking, loading account information.
The Extension observes X GraphQL requests to obtain the request structure and headers required for authenticated operations. Follow status is checked periodically in the background and immediately before automated cleanup or blocking actions. If follow status cannot be verified, the protected action may be disabled.
The Extension does not send stored information to servers operated by the Extension developer. The Extension does not use external analytics or advertising services.
The Extension’s user interface may request font resources from Google Fonts. Such requests are subject to Google’s own privacy policies and may expose standard network information, such as the user’s IP address and browser request metadata, to Google.
How Information Is Used
Information is processed only to:
- identify the active X account and relevant profile sections;
- perform cleanup actions selected by the user;
- identify visually similar profile images associated with different usernames;
- match visible post text against the user’s blocked-word list;
- block matching X accounts;
- verify eligibility to use protected automated features;
- display progress, statistics, and diagnostic information; and
- diagnose failures when X changes its interface or API behavior.
The developer does not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, create advertising profiles, or share it with data brokers.
Automated Actions and User Control
When enabled, the Extension may automatically unlike posts, remove reposts, delete posts, or block X accounts. These actions affect the user’s X account and may be difficult or impossible to reverse.
Users control whether impersonator detection and keyword-based blocking are enabled. Users may edit or remove words from the blocked-word list, stop a cleanup process, disable the Extension, clear locally stored data, or uninstall the Extension at any time.
Permissions
The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
- **`activeTab` and `scripting`:** to inspect and interact with the active X tab when providing cleanup and blocking features.
- **`tabs`:** to identify the active X tab, navigate between profile sections during cleanup, wait for pages to load, and restore the original page.
- **`storage`:** to store settings, word lists, progress, statistics, verification state, request schemas, required headers, and diagnostic logs locally.
- **`webRequest`:** to observe X GraphQL request structures and required headers. The Extension does not block, redirect, or modify network requests through this permission.
- **Host access to `x.com` and its subdomains:** to run content scripts and communicate with X pages and X API endpoints. The Extension does not request host access to unrelated websites.
Data Disclosure
The Extension does not transmit user information to the developer and does not sell or rent information to third parties. Information is transmitted to X only as required to interact with the user’s X account and provide the enabled features.
Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law, legal process, or a binding governmental request. Because the developer does not operate a data-collection server for the Extension, the developer generally does not possess the locally stored information described in this policy.
Security
Information stored by the Extension is protected by Chrome’s extension storage and the security of the user’s browser profile and device. Authentication-related headers are sensitive. Users should protect access to their Chrome profile, keep their browser updated, and remove the Extension if they no longer wish it to retain local data.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under the minimum age required to use X in their jurisdiction. The developer does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through an external server.
Third-Party Services
Use of X is governed by X’s own terms and privacy policy. Use of Google Fonts is governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy policy. The developer is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of these third-party services.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Extension’s features, permissions, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated when material changes are made.

Limitation of Liability
Use of the Extension is at the user’s own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for deleted content, blocked accounts, account restrictions, service interruptions, data loss, or other direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the Extension.
