# Privacy Policy
**Space Studio**
Last updated: 19 August 2026
Space Studio ("we", "us") builds mobile apps. This policy explains what our
apps collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to every app we
publish under the Space Studio developer account, including:
- **Unwrapped** — food label scanner (`com.spacestudio.unwrapped`)
## The short version
- We do **not** ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name,
email address, phone number, or location.
- We do **not** sell your data, and we do **not** track you across other
companies' apps or websites.
- We do **not** show ads.
- What we collect is what we need to run the app, keep it from crashing, and
know which screens people use.
## What we collect
**Anonymous account identifier.** The app signs in to our backend anonymously
so your subscription and your saved items follow your device. This identifier
is not linked to your name or email.
**App usage and diagnostics.** Which screens are opened, which features are
used, crash reports, and basic device information (device model, operating
system version, app version, language, and device identifiers used by the
analytics and crash tools). We use this to fix bugs and to decide what to
build next.
**Purchase status.** Whether you have an active subscription, and the store
transaction identifiers needed to restore it. Your payment details are handled
entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card.
**Photos you choose to take or pick.** Some apps let you photograph a product
label or a receipt. The image is sent to our processing service only to read
the text in it and give you a result. We do not attach these images to your
identity or use them to build a profile of you. Access to your camera or photo
library is optional and only requested when you use those features.
**What you scan or search.** Barcodes, product searches, and items you save
are used to fetch product information and to show your own history inside the
app.
We do **not** collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts,
calendar, messages, precise or approximate location, health or fitness data,
audio recordings, files on your device, browsing history, or the list of other
apps installed on your device.
## Service providers we use
- **Google Firebase** (anonymous authentication, analytics, crash reporting) —
Google LLC
- **RevenueCat** (subscription management) — RevenueCat, Inc.
- **Apple App Store / Google Play** (payments and subscriptions)
- **api.ra2lab.io** — our own backend, operated by us
- **Open Food Facts** (`world.openfoodfacts.org`) — a public, open product
database we query by barcode or product name. Queries are not tied to your
identity.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not
share your data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
## Legal basis and purposes (EEA/UK)
We process this data to perform the contract with you (running the app,
delivering subscriptions), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in
keeping the app stable and improving it. Where consent is required — for
example camera or photo access — the app asks for it and the feature simply
stays unavailable if you decline.
## How long we keep it
- Diagnostics and analytics: retained by our providers for up to 14 months.
- Purchase records: kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law.
- Your saved items and history: kept until you delete them or delete the app.
Most of this data lives on your own device.
## Your rights and how to delete your data
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the data associated with
your device at any time.
**To request deletion, email support@ra2lab.io** with the subject line
"Data deletion request" and, if you can, the anonymous user ID shown in the
app's settings screen. We will confirm and delete within 30 days.
Deleting the app from your device removes everything stored locally. Deleting
your data does not cancel a subscription — manage that in your Apple or Google
account settings.
## Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EEA), and we do not
knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data,
email us and we will delete it.
## Not medical advice
Where our apps describe food, labels, or ingredients, they describe what is
printed on the packaging and what public databases say about it. They do not
provide medical, dietary, or veterinary advice. Talk to a qualified
professional about your health.
## Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for material
changes, notify you in the app.
