This Privacy Policy describes how X Media Downloader (the "Extension"), operated by ExtensionsFox ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you install and use the Extension.

Summary
X Media Downloader helps you download images and videos from X (Twitter) posts and profile Media tabs to a folder on your computer. Media discovery and downloads run in your browser. We do not sell your personal information. We only collect limited account, billing, and configuration data needed to operate the Extension and related services.
Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device
The Extension uses Chrome local storage on your computer to save settings and session-related data, which may include:
Account identifier (UID / token) used to recognize your account
Subscription status cache (for example Pro / Free)
Download settings (for example whether to download video, create a tweet-ID subfolder, filename format, and request interval)
Temporary task state (for example the current download task)
Temporary X/Twitter GraphQL request metadata used to list media (request URL and request headers, excluding cookies)
This data stays on your device unless you clear the Extension storage or uninstall the Extension.
2.2 Information processed in your browser on X / Twitter
When you use Download Media on a post or start a bulk download from a profile Media tab, the Extension may:
Read publicly available post and media information already shown or loaded by X/Twitter in your browser (such as tweet ID, username, media URLs, and file type)
Request media listing pages from X/Twitter using your existing browser session
Download the selected image or video files to your computer through the browser download system
This processing happens locally in your browser for that session. Downloaded files are saved where your browser stores downloads (for example Chrome's Downloads folder). We do not upload tweet text, media files, or your download folders to our servers.
2.3 Information sent to our servers
When you use account, billing, or related-product features, the Extension may send requests to our API (https://api.extensionsfox.com), including:
Account identifier (UID)
Product / app identifier
For purchase restore: order ID and email you provide
For the "More tools" list: product app ID
For checkout: UID, product / app identifier, and selected plan ID
If you uninstall the Extension, your browser may open our uninstall feedback page. Any comments you choose to submit there are provided by you.
Payment checkout is processed by third-party payment providers (Paddle or PayPal). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
2.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect:
Your X/Twitter password
Your X/Twitter cookies (the Extension does not store cookies from intercepted requests)
Browsing history outside X/Twitter pages where the Extension runs
The image or video files you download
Precise device location for advertising
Contact lists unrelated to the Extension's features
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
Provide and maintain the Extension
Authenticate accounts and restore purchases
Enforce Free and Pro limits
Show related ExtensionsFox tools
Provide customer support
Improve reliability and fix bugs
Comply with legal obligations
Permissions
The Extension may request browser permissions such as storage, downloads, webRequest, and host access to x.com, twitter.com, and our API. These permissions are used only to run the Extension's features (show download controls on X/Twitter, list media from pages you open, save files to your computer, remember preferences, and call our API).
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with:
Payment processors (to complete purchases and manage subscriptions)
Infrastructure / hosting providers that operate our API and websites
Authorities when required by law
Service providers are used only to operate the Extension and related services.
Data retention
Local Extension data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Extension.
Downloaded media files remain on your device or in any cloud folder you choose. We do not host those files.
Server-side account and subscription records are kept as long as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted to and stored by our services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You may:
Stop using the Extension and uninstall it at any time
Clear Extension storage through your browser
Contact us to ask questions about account or billing data associated with your UID / purchase email
Manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing links provided in the Extension or by your payment provider
Third-party services and X / Twitter
The Extension interacts with X (Twitter) and other third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. The Extension is not affiliated with X Corp. or Twitter.
International users
Our services may be hosted or operated in countries different from your own. By using the Extension, you understand that information may be processed in those locations as needed to provide the service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
