# DogDoku Privacy Policy
**Effective date: July 26, 2026**
Thank you for using DogDoku. We care about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, how we protect it, and how you can contact us.
## 1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to DogDoku and its related in-app features. If you use features provided through the App Store, Game Center, iCloud, your email client, or other third-party services, those services may also be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
## 2. Information We Process
### 2.1 Game Progress and Settings
We may process information such as your level progress, bone balance, play count, failure count, play duration, sound settings, haptic settings, and use of hints or next-step assistance. This information is mainly stored on your device.
### 2.2 iCloud Sync Data
If iCloud is enabled on your device and DogDoku is allowed to use CloudKit, we may sync a snapshot of your game progress to your private Apple iCloud database. This allows your progress to be restored or synchronized across devices signed in with the same Apple account.
### 2.3 Usage and Diagnostics Data
DogDoku integrates Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. We generate a random identifier for the current app installation and may associate it with app launches, screen views, button taps, app version, build version, purchase-flow status, and similar usage events.
If the app crashes or encounters an error, crash stack traces, relevant app state, device model, operating-system version, and similar diagnostic information may be collected. The installation identifier distinguishes an app installation and is not your Apple account, name, phone number, or email address.
### 2.4 Remote Configuration Data
DogDoku uses Firebase Remote Config to obtain campaigns, app recommendations, in-app product presentation, promotional offers, and weekly-subscription settings.
To select and return applicable configurations, Firebase may process a Firebase installation identifier, country or region code, language, time zone, operating-system version, SDK version, Firebase App ID, bundle ID, and necessary network-request information. We do not store payment credentials or other confidential information in Remote Config parameters.
### 2.5 Images, Camera, and Photo Library
If you actively use the Solver to take a photo or choose a puzzle image from your photo library, DogDoku uses that selected image to recognize the puzzle board. Recognition is mainly performed on your device, and we do not intentionally upload your puzzle images.
If you choose to save a generated share image through the system share sheet, your device may request permission to write that image to your photo library.
### 2.6 Feedback Email
If you tap Feedback and choose to send an email, we will receive your email address, the content of your message, and any device information, such as the operating-system version, that is included in the email body.
### 2.7 Game Center and Leaderboard Data
If you sign in to Apple Game Center or choose to view or participate in leaderboards, we may process information related to those features, such as your Game Center authentication status, player nickname, avatar, and leaderboard scores.
Scores submitted by DogDoku may include completed main levels, completed Double Dog levels, bone count, and unlocked skin count. Apple processes Game Center data according to its own policies and settings.
### 2.8 Purchases and Restore Purchases
If you purchase or restore Pro, purchases, refunds, billing, transaction verification, and records relating to auto-renewable subscriptions or non-consumable purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
We may store locally whether Pro has been unlocked and may log product identifiers, campaign identifiers, purchase-flow status, and similar analytics events. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
### 2.9 Ratings and Sharing
When you tap rating or sharing buttons, the relevant actions are handled by the Apple App Store or the system share sheet.
Except when you actively take a photo, choose an image, or save a share image, we do not read your camera or photo library. We do not access your contacts, microphone, or precise location.
## 3. Private Friend Battles
When you use Friend Battle, DogDoku creates an in-app player identifier through Firebase Authentication and uses Firebase Realtime Database to create or join a private room for up to two players. Each room is accessed using a six-digit room code.
The player identifier may initially belong to an anonymous Firebase account. If you are signed in to Game Center, the app attempts to link the anonymous Firebase account to your Game Center credential, or to sign in to a Firebase account already associated with that Game Center account. This may allow the same player to be recognized after reinstalling the app or changing devices. Anonymous mode remains available if linking fails.
Friend Battle does not provide a public lobby, random matchmaking, text chat, or voice chat.
To operate and synchronize a battle, we may process:
- Your Firebase player identifier.
- The room code and your host or joining-player role.
- Your ready and connection status.
- The selected difficulty and level identifiers.
- Join and update times.
- In-match progress, lives, and hint usage.
- Match results and finish reasons.
- The display name and avatar supplied by Apple when you are signed in to Game Center.
- An app-generated display name and bundled default avatar when Game Center information is unavailable.
A Game Center avatar used for Friend Battle is resized and compressed to a 150 × 150 JPEG of less than 100 KB, uploaded to Firebase Storage, and represented in Firebase Realtime Database only by its download URL. The other player in the same room can see your display name, avatar, and the live battle state necessary to play the match. Downloaded avatars may be cached in memory and on disk to reduce repeated network requests.
DogDoku does not allow users to enter their own display names or select other images for upload. Friend Battle does not access your contacts, Game Center friends list, microphone, or precise location. A room code is used only to join a private room that you create or are invited to join.
## 4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Save, restore, and synchronize game progress.
- Provide features such as sound, haptics, the Solver, and saving share images.
- Create, join, synchronize, and restore private Friend Battle rooms.

## 5. Third-Party Services and Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
To provide app functionality, we may use Apple services such as Game Center, iCloud, App Store, StoreKit, system sharing, camera and photo-library permissions, and email capabilities. We also use Google Firebase services for anonymous authentication, realtime database functionality, avatar storage and delivery, analytics, crash diagnostics, and remote configuration.
Your display name, avatar, and the in-match state necessary for a private Friend Battle are shared with the other player in the same room.
Apart from this necessary sharing, we do not intentionally disclose your information to unrelated third parties except where required by law, to protect users or the developer's lawful rights, or to investigate security issues. Third-party services process necessary information under their own policies.

## 6. Retention
Local game progress remains on your device until you clear progress in the app, delete the app, or the system removes the data. iCloud sync data is managed through your Apple account and iCloud settings. Game Center leaderboard data is managed by Apple Game Center according to its service behavior and your account settings.
A Firebase anonymous player identifier may remain until the authentication state is cleared or the corresponding anonymous record is deleted.
Private-room data is retained only as needed to create, synchronize, settle, and, where necessary, reconnect to a battle. In the normal flow:
- A room is deleted when its host closes or leaves a waiting or completed room.
- A joining player's room record is deleted when that player leaves a waiting or completed room.
- Disconnection, service failure, or recovery flows may delay deletion.
An uploaded Game Center avatar is retained at the Firebase Storage path associated with the relevant Firebase player identifier. A later avatar replaces the earlier file. A downloaded avatar may remain in the device cache until the system or the app clears the cache, or until the app is deleted.
We do not retain Friend Battle information for the purpose of providing a public lobby, building a social graph, or publishing a long-term public battle history.
Feedback emails are retained for a reasonable period necessary to handle the feedback and maintain communication records. Other retention associated with Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and Firebase installation identifiers depends on feature requirements, our Firebase configuration, and Google Firebase policies.
Deleting DogDoku stops that installation from sending new information, but it may not immediately delete information already retained by a third-party service.
## 7. Your Choices and Controls
Friend Battle is optional. You may choose not to create or join a private room, and you may manage Game Center sign-in through your Apple account or Game Center settings.
You may also:
- Turn sound effects or haptics off in DogDoku settings.
- Choose not to send a feedback email.
- Choose not to use photo capture, image selection, or share-image saving.
- Manage camera, photo-library, and add-to-photo-library permissions in system settings.
- Manage iCloud permissions or disable iCloud synchronization in system settings.
- Manage purchases, auto-renewable subscriptions, and refunds through the App Store.
- Delete local game progress by using the in-app clear-progress feature or uninstalling the app.
To request access to, deletion of, or correction of information you provided through feedback email, or to make an access, deletion, objection, or consent-withdrawal request relating to a Firebase anonymous identity, private room, or other Firebase-related information, contact us using the email address below.
We will respond to the extent that the relevant information can be lawfully and reasonably verified and located.
## 8. International Processing
Apple, Google Firebase, and their affiliates or service providers may process necessary information outside your country or region. Where this constitutes a cross-border transfer under applicable law, we will take any notice, consent, assessment, or other compliance measures required by applicable law.
You may contact us using the details in this Policy to ask questions or exercise rights available under applicable law.
## 9. Children
DogDoku is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Minors should use the app with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us. After verification, we will take reasonable measures as appropriate.
## 10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
## 11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app's features, applicable laws, or third-party services change. When we update it, we will publish the new effective date in the app and on the applicable policy page.
