This Privacy Policy applies to the Android version of DogDoku distributed through Google Play or other Android channels. It explains how the app accesses, uses, stores, and shares data.
1. Data We Process
The Android app uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Firebase Analytics helps us understand app usage, Firebase Crashlytics helps diagnose crashes, AdMob provides optional rewarded ads and ad measurement, and UMP manages advertising privacy choices where applicable.
The app uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases, purchase restoration, and purchase-status confirmation. Cloud save is optional. If you choose to use it, you sign in with Google and the app syncs game progress and settings to Firebase Firestore. Google Play Games may process player profile data and scores for leaderboards.
The app does not intentionally upload shared board images or access your contacts, precise location, photos, camera, or microphone content.
2. Data Stored Locally
To provide the game experience, the app stores game progress, unfinished levels, play time, failure counts, virtual resources, unlock status, skins, and settings on your device. When you choose to share, the app temporarily generates a board image in its cache and passes it to the Android share sheet.
This data is mainly stored in Android app-private storage or SharedPreferences. If you sign in and use cloud save, the app syncs a snapshot of local preferences and progress to a Firestore document linked to your Firebase user ID and continues syncing changes. Without cloud save, this feature does not upload your local save.
Firebase Analytics may record screens, buttons, level types, level numbers, success or failure, time used, and rewards. It does not upload the full board, share images, or your local save file.
3. Images and Sharing
When you use the sharing feature, the app generates a board image locally and passes it through the Android share sheet to the third-party app you choose. That app may process the image or share text according to its own privacy policy and terms.
The app does not automatically save images to your gallery or request camera, photo, microphone, contacts, or location permissions.
4. How We Use Data
We use relevant data to save and restore game progress, show levels and unlock status, provide settings and sharing, maintain the game, understand feature usage, and diagnose crashes.
If you choose cloud save, Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication identify your account, and Firebase Firestore stores and syncs progress and settings. If you use leaderboards, Google Play Games submits and displays scores. AdMob delivers and measures ads, while UMP manages applicable advertising privacy choices.
5. Third-Party Services
Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are provided by Google. They may process app instance identifiers, device and system information, app interactions, crash logs, and diagnostic information for analytics, crash reporting, reliability, and security.
If you choose cloud save, Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication may process your Google account identifier, authentication information, and Firebase user ID. Firebase Firestore processes the progress and settings snapshot you sync. If you use Google Play Games leaderboards, Google may process player profile data, authentication status, and submitted scores.
When you download or update the app or complete an in-app purchase through Google Play, Google may process related data under its own privacy policy. The developer may see aggregated statistics, ratings, reviews, installs, crashes, order status, or refund information in Google Play Console.
6. Advertising and AdMob
The app uses Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to provide optional rewarded ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage applicable advertising consent.
AdMob may process advertising identifiers, app or developer-scoped device identifiers, device and network information, approximate region inferred from IP address, app interactions, ad impressions or clicks, and diagnostic data to request and show ads, measure performance, improve services, and prevent invalid traffic. The actual scope may vary by region, device, ad request, and Google's product configuration.
Rewarded ads are optional. You may continue normal gameplay and use purchased features without watching an ad. Ad availability depends on region, connectivity, device state, privacy choices, and ad inventory. A game reward is granted only after the advertising service confirms that its reward conditions were met.
Where applicable, Google may present an advertising privacy message. Where UMP requires an ongoing privacy-options entry point, you can change or withdraw your choice through Settings > Advertising privacy choices in the app. You can also manage ad preferences through Android or Google settings. Declining or withdrawing advertising consent does not affect normal gameplay, but ads may be limited, non-personalized, or unavailable.
7. Data Sharing
To provide the features described above, Google AdMob, UMP, and their advertising technology partners may process advertising-related data; Google/Firebase may process analytics, diagnostic, authentication, and cloud-save data; and Google Play Games may process leaderboard data.
When you use the Android share sheet, the third-party app you choose receives the share image or text. We may also process information where required by law or where permitted by law to protect the rights and safety of users, the developer, or the public. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Data Security
The app uses Android app-private storage for local data. Data transmitted between Firebase SDKs and Google services is handled according to those services' security measures. No device, network, or third-party service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please protect your device and system account.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Local game data and settings generally remain on your device until you uninstall the app, clear app data, or use a clear-data feature that may be offered in a future version. Temporary share images may be replaced or removed by Android cache cleanup.
Cloud-save, leaderboard, purchase, advertising, analytics, and crash data are retained by the relevant service providers as needed to provide services, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. Uninstalling the app or clearing local data does not automatically delete a cloud save already synced to Firebase.
You may email us below to request access, correction, or deletion of cloud-save data that we can identify. We may need to verify your identity and associated Firebase user ID. You can manage Google Play Games, purchase, and advertising data through the relevant Google service settings or by contacting the service provider.
If you have contacted us by email, you may also request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided in that email.
10. Children and Minors
The app is not directed to children under 13. Minors should use the app with parent or guardian consent and guidance. If a guardian believes a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the email below. We will review the request after reasonable verification.
11. Your Choices
You may avoid the optional cloud-save, leaderboard, rewarded-ad, and sharing features; clear app data in Android settings or uninstall the app; manage advertising consent through Settings > Advertising privacy choices where available; manage relevant privacy settings through Google or your device; and email us about cloud-save or email data that we can identify.
12. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy if app features, third-party services, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date. Where the law requires renewed consent, we will request it before the relevant processing begins.
