We started the year off with a trip to the Texas FFA State Convention. Our FFA officers attended sessions, workshops, and even made some new friends, with the help of Pinto, the officer team mascot! We had some students also walk the stage while earning their Lone Star Degree. This is a huge accomplishment!
Shortly after school started, Wylie East hosted our Back to School Bash event. This is a fun time for our members to get together, meet the new members, play fun games, and get excited for a fun year. The musical chairs in the mud was a huge hit! Our students were hosing themselves off in the animal wash racks just to get clean enough to drive home. Passing the cow tongue with our feet was also very fun and interesting.
our officer team traveled with the Wylie High Officers to the District 1 Meeting in Quinlan. The officers participated in many leadership and team building games.
Wylie East FFA attended the State Fair of Texas for Ag Awareness Day! All the fun rides, foods, and more! It was great to spend time with our members and others from around the state!
Our officers planned a super fun Spy-Themed meeting in september! We wore all back outfits and raced through a "laser" maze! It was so much fun! Faith Won our member of the month at this meeting!
In October, we helped bring out that Raider Spirit and participated in the Hallway Decorating and we had a float in the Hoco Parade! We are so proud to say that Wylie East FFA won SECOND place float at the parade! We were yelling our lungs out with our Raider Pride!
Who ya gonna call? FFA!
We teamed up with Wylie High FFA Officers to host the first Wylie ISD FFA Greenhand camp. It was so fun getting to meet our new members and help then learn about FFA and what it takes to be a leader
Our members work very hard at the beginning of the year preparing for the Leadership Development Events. From public speaking skills to teamwork skills, our students grew so much in these first few months of school. Our chapter won 3rd place in the LDE Sweepstakes for District 1 FFA. Take a look at the placings at District and Area!

We love to have fun in FFA! Whether it be sticking a plunger to Mr. Love's head, crashing out over spilt ketchup, or anything in between, there is truly never a dull moment. We also use a lot of our brain power during these contests. Sometime we even have to meet at the Ag Barn at 3 in the morning just to make it to the contest on time. Us ag kids and teachers LOVE our naps! See us caught in 4k trying to catch some z's.
The holidays are definitely a favorite time of many. From gathering with friends and family at the November Meeting Potluck to ringing our Jingle bells in the Christmas Parade, we always kept up that holiday cheer. We even brought in a few special guests, like our Area V Officer from District 1, Austin Garza, and James from Royse City FFA!
Every year, the District 1 FFA hosts a dance. As an entrance fee, they collect items for a local charity. This year, they collected items for a local animal shelter. Our members also learned some new moves. They two-stepped the night away with members from other chapters in District 1 FFA.
A new calendar year brought a new busy schedule of stock shows! From Collin County Stock Show to Wylie Show and Sale, our members rocked it in the show ring. Our member poured countless hours into their projects and the high quality of work has definitely been shown. We even had many students exhibit floral, shop, and food projects during Wylie Show and Sale. That is proof that there is something for everyone in FFA.
In the spring semester, our students competed in many different CDE contests. We had the BIGGEST accomplishment of the year when our Veterinary Science CDE Team places 24th at the State level contest! That shows the insane amount of work our students put into the contests they love! Our chapter won 2nd place in the CDE Sweepstakes for District 1 FFA. See our CDE Results below.

Our members attended the Area 5 & District 1 conventions. We helped vote on new officers, earned awards, and celebrated our yearly accomplishments with friends from other chapters. During the District Convention, Faith competed in the talent contest. Grace and Olivia also ran for a district officer position. Olivia was elected at the District 1 Student Advisor for next school year!
We wrappened up the year with hosting the Wylie East FFA Banquet. The final time we celebrated all we have done, and we said goodbye to our FFA Seniors. Watching them retire their jackets is always hard, but we know the Class of 2026 will do great things in the furture. Thank you to our Supporter CLub for their amazing work in planning our banquet!
