Our company has recently purchased a seat of Alphacam ultimate router, and a hp Z book to run it on, but it has serious sporadic lag issues, sometimes it freezes up to the point where the program becomes non responsive. The computer this runs on has an i7 processsor, but it is two core. Minimum requirement call for Minimum Specifications64-bit Intel Pentium 4 processor (2 GHz or faster), Intel Xeon, Intel Core, AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, AMD Phenom or later, in single, dual or quad core versions

4 GB of RAM

To make the most of background processing and multi-threading, we recommend a 64-bit operating system and 2GB RAM for each processor as a minimum.Please ensure the latest WHQL certified driver that supports OpenGL 3.3 for the card is installed.Note: Some older cards in the ranges above may no longer be supported. I have run Ultimate on my hp mobile workstation and HP Desktop with no major troubles. I noticed that multidrill operations are very slow on my machines when the 64 bit version of the software is installed. Uninstalling that version and putting on the 32 bit version solved the problem. Other than that, both 32 and 64 bit run fine.
