97.5% PDI’d Bikes enables the retailer to simply ship the bike from the Distribution Centre - just slap a label on the bike box and ship - no additional work required - less returns (also good for replenishing instore display stock) - no technical staff required - saving money all the way down the line - on delivery the consumer or store simply pulls the bike out of the bike box - the handlebars are set up in the correct position - just fit front wheel and pedals - easy to do instructions and you are good to go...
Packaging in Detail explanation
The appearing looks the same as regular 90% assembled box except box is a little bigger.
Our boxes are all standardize size in different models in order to save the mold cost and price for mass production.
Sizes are below:
Pedal Bikes: 170cm x 20cm x 87cm (such as SUV2)
= 236 units
Ebikes: 170cm x 21cm x 85cm (such as eZy)
= 198 units
We special design the box to open on side in order for consumers to pull out the bike.
We will cover and protect most area for the product inside the box. Also, we will try to use most of recycle materials to help save the earth and reduce the prolusion. However, we are still using Ziptight to secure the moving part, and this is due to the cost and efficiency for our factory production. We will contiune working hard to find the replacement material in the coming future.
To reduce the size of the box, and we need to take the front wheel off in order to keep shorter boxes. In order not to cause the damage between the front wheel and the frame. We design a special cardboard to protect in between. Meanwhile, we use some small boxes to hold the frame tight without shaking and moving around.
For those racing or drop handlebar bicycle products. We will need to twist angle for fitting. Therefore, it will need to indicate on the manual for correct adjusting after consumers take off the protection and trying to put together.
It usually need to lose bolts in the stem head, and after adjust the right angle of the handlebar. Then it need to tighten the bolt accordingly. Of course, we need to carefully indicating the correct toque of the tightness on the manual or instruction paper in order for consumers to operate correctly. We will give our buyers guideline how to design the manual.
To put the extra components or accessories in side the box, and we design standard accessory boxes for secure the position inside the box without moving around. It is important that these boxes need to be secured.
All materials for lose parts or accessaries need to well organized into different accessory boxes. All these need to balance not only weight but also the looks.
Minimizing the tool needed for the consumer to put together the bike. This is crucial to make consumers easier to simply use few size of Allen wrench tools to fix the bike. The consumer friendly is quite import for this area.
Detail instructions are also a key for consumers to put their own bikes together without any hassle. Not only in papers, but also recommend to add video clips in the website or Youtube for general piblic to watch and making sure bikes are well assembled.
