Why

COTTON

Natural fibers particularly cotton has inherent qualities like the absorbency , elasticity & breathability that are good for skin .

WHY NATURALLY CULTIVATED :

While 2.5% of cultivated area in the world is dedicated for cotton, 50% of usage of all pesticides in developing countries is assigned to cotton production. So the toxicity of the pesticides enters back the food chain not just through cotton but through air, water and soil.

Why

HANDSPUN,

HANDWOVEN

There are around 20 processes the cotton goes through before a cotton boll becomes fabric, where toxic chemicals are added for industrial processing.

When handspun & handwoven the fabric is free of most textile industry toxins

Why

NATURALLY DYED

UNDYED UNBLEACHED

20% of industrial water pollution is owed to fabric dyes and treatment. The world bank identified 72 toxic chemicals in water bodies related to textile dyeing.

These end back up in our food chain through air, water and soil and are actually not safe on skin.
