Kemi Faith Odesola is a media and communications specialist committed to amplifying the impact of development initiatives across Africa through strategic storytelling and multimedia production. Her work focuses on communications, public health, and social impact, where she helps organizations translate evidence and community-based interventions into stories that inspire action and change.
My journey into development communications was unique and happened by chance. It began in 2016 when i joined a maternal health outreach in Lagos, Nigeria as a photographer with the Alabiamo Foundation. What started as documenting community health interventions evolved into a deeper role in storytelling, fundraising, and impact communications. Over the years, my work has helped strengthen fundraising campaigns and expanded the visibility of grassroot public health initiative to wider audiences, including through GlobalGiving.

Through creative storytelling, evidence-based messaging, and strategic media communications, I help turn complex research findings into easy to understand formats. My work in strategic communications supports tobacco control research across seven African countries, coordinating high-impact, research communications that actively advance tobacco control policy and advocacy.
