I'm delighted to share that a fully funded spot on January's Writing the Past course has been made possible through incredibly generous contributions from many former students. Thank you so much to everyone who chipped in: what a vote of confidence!

This funding is intended for someone who'd like to take the course but who wouldn't otherwise feel they could afford it: this is the most important eligibility criteria so please think carefully about whether it applies to you.

As a guideline, I'm looking for someone whose income doesn't exceed £25,000 - or £35,000 for their household - or who is in receipt of state benefits. I've chosen this figure inline with other creative writing courses' bursary conditions: however, I know that financial challenges take many forms so if you don't quite meet these criteria you are still very welcome to apply.
