Planet ST908428, or as it was more commonly known as: Skeptrot, was a small dwarf planet formed billions of years ago after multiple debris collided with an unnamed planet in the Latticepolar System during a meteor shower.
The landscape of the planet was known to be mostly dry-lands, with a surface made of cracked stone and obsidian, creating mountains, hills and plenty of crevasses that could be seen for miles. It was said to have an atmosphere composed mainly of carbon and sulfur dioxide, being incredibly dry and humid during the day and inhospitably cold at night.
The lower layers of the planet were a molten metal, mainly copper and iron, which provided heat to the planet especially during the harsh and freezing nights. This metal would sometimes rise to the surface through the crevasses and solidify at night, creating the small hills.
The planet was noticeably devoid of life for centuries. Eventually a form of bacteria would begin to form on the planets surface, highly expected to be carried over from a different planets inhabitants. This bacteria would go on to thrive in the planets many cracks and crevasses, eventually evolving into many different species.
Despite the planets new source of life, it remained unexplored for hundreds of years due to the harsh environment and lack of sufficient maps of the planet.
Eventually It would become a thriving mining colony for the system, thanks to new laws requiring updated maps of each planet and moon in a given system leading to its rediscovery. The Planet became incredibly popular due to its abundance of copper and obsidian along with it being positioned close to a planet on the verge of an economic boom.
Sadly Skeptrot would eventually be completely mined of its metal. With no more molten metal under the planets surface, it became a frozen wasteland of many now dead civilizations. The planet itself would also collide with the dwarf planet Webbigaris, ending any hope for the planets revival, and leaving the Ois and Spidions as nomadic species.

A Mirerachnid
Standing between 10 and 17 feet tall The Mirerachnids are a species of slime like arachnids that fed on the copper of the planets surface, and would crawl into the planets many cracks and openings to keep warm during the brutally cold nights of the planet.
In terms of reproduction the parent, after 6 years (35 If on Earth), would hibernate for 3 days (2 1/2 weeks on Earth) as its young form in its lower chest. After the hive of 3,000 is born the parent would die, becoming food for its young as they are left to fend for themselves, the hive splitting up almost immediately.
The Mirerachnids would become hostile towards the copper miners, attacking when in close proximity, however due to the more advanced technology they would usually die at the hands of the miners, and becoming either a source of food or their bones being used as a raw material.
As the planet was mined more and more, and the mirerachnids began to die off, those surviving would evolve into 2 different species.
A Spidion
The Allium grotcepa (alli-um grot-cepta) are similar to their ancestors, however are more round in shape instead of the more lean Mirerachnids that came before them.
Standing between 8 and 11 feet tall, the Allium grotcepa, more commonly dubbed as "Spidions", are a species of bulbous slime creatures taking on some of the arachnid like features of their ancestors that feed off the electricity that powered the mining colonies and civilizations of the planet they. During the night they would sit on top of the cracks in the surface for warmth.
Like the Mirerachnids before them they reproduce through hibernation and dying in the process, however the process is in a much shorter window being every 4 years (23 years on earth) and hibernating for 2 days (13 days on earth) and the process itself involves the parent exploding, the young flying into the an area between 0-3 feet away from the parent and the nearly 600 young Spidions fending for themselves after birth.
Due to the constant problems they were causing, the species was hunted to near extinction, its said only roughly 45,000 Spidions are alive to this day on multiple different planets, half the population on display.
An Oi
The other species that split off were the Ois.
The Ois seem to be a drastic departure from their Mirerachnid ancestors and Spidion cousins, appearing much smaller and less deadly than both of them.
Standing between 5-6 feet tall, the Ois are a species of slime like blobs, however unlike the rest of their evolutionary chain they have much more control over their slime like bodies and posses a degree of sapience and intelligence.
They feed on anything they can, however an Oi in the wild would most likely digest the copper on the planet or on Spidions, though this is only possible with a small colony of Ois.
For reproduction the Ois split their bodies apart, creating an exact double in a matter of seconds, and unlike the rest of their evolutionary chain they can reproduce at will, at anytime without dying.
During the night a wild Oi would hide in the cracks in the planets surface.
Due to their intelligence they were able to make peace with the civilizations on the planet, becoming one with the planets many civilizations and further traveling to many more planets and assimilating into other cultures. However compared to most species, most of the Ois are considered simple minded when compared to their peers, and their language is notorious for being difficult to learn, being made up of only the word Oi.
This language barrier has lead to most understanding the Ois through context clues, body gestures and their tone of voice, although it has been shown that Ois can speak semblances of other languages albeit in short bursts as not to strain their voices.
Because of their habit of just inserting themselves into other cultures, any culture of their own is very rare, although it seems to be a hierarchy of sorts with those being more metallic having more power with Gold being their highest standard.
Despite how drastically different these 3 species are, there is a constant: the chemical make up of the slime being made up of 63% Sulfur, 29% Potassium, and 8% Calcium. Due to this, it has been highly recommended to not get any of them wet, with it being illegal on some planets.
Sadly Skeptrot would eventually be completely mined. With no more molten metal under the planets surface, it became a frozen wasteland of many now dead civilizations. The planet itself would also collide with the dwarf planet Webbigaris, ending any hope for the planets revival, and leaving the Ois and Spidions as nomadic species'.
