The Chicago 502 mission is to:

• honor the active duty soldiers of the 502d infantry Regiment, Second Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY,

• be a supportive presence in the families of these soldiers, and provide a forum for the United States Army in metropolitan Chicago,

• encourage and promote civic and cultural activities, social exchanges and interaction among the citizens of metropolitan Chicago and these soldiers,

• contribute financially and otherwise provide entertainment, instruction, recreation and wholesome activities for the soldiers of the Regiment during off-duty hours, and for the welfare of the immediate families of these soldiers
