Welcome Week: The Adventure Begins
Welcome Week is an exciting time of year designed to kick off the new academic year and introduce incoming students to our campus community and to welcome our returning students back home. During this week-long celebration, we have planned a series of engaging activities and events to celebrate campus life and foster connections within the student community. By attending these activities, students will not only have fun but also get the chance to win amazing prizes.

Building from the connections students made on Friday, Saturday focuses on what it means to build community and provides opportunities for students to foster new relationships with fellow students. From hearing current students, alumni, and faculty share their experiences cultivating community on campus, to choosing your own adventure fun in the afternoon, Saturday marks the transition from Orientation to Welcome Week. Mechanical Bull

Get ready for a wild ride at our Welcome Week Adventure Mechanical Bull event! Test your rodeo skills and see how long you can hold on as the bull bucks and spins. It's an exciting challenge that's sure to bring laughter and fun for all!
Option 2:
Demolition Ball
Fountain Plaza
Step into the inflatable netted arena and take on the Wrecking Ball challenge, where four competitors battle to be the last one standing. Players climb atop their inflated pads and hurl the "Demolition Ball" at their opponents, trying to knock them off balance. Only the toughest will remain standing to claim victory!

Purple Ice Slide
Fountain Plaza
Experience the thrill of our two-story water slides where you get to decide from what height to make your descent. Climb the ladder and choose between the first platform or continue 3 ½ feet higher for an even more exhilarating ride. Whichever you choose, you'll whip around the turn and splash into the pool below for a refreshing finish!

Join us as Dean McGhee takes the wheel, driving students around the scenic fountain plaza on the Dean McGhee Express Train. This delightful ride offers a unique and fun way to explore our beautiful campus while getting to know your fellow classmates. Hop aboard and enjoy the journey!

Come experience a short introductory adventure in Dungeons and Dragons, hosted by The Round Table, RMC’s tabletop gaming club. Players of all skills levels and experience welcome, and pre-generated characters will be provided so we can jump right into the action. No experience in tabletop games is required, and we will have experienced players from the club available to help beginners.

Don't miss out on this adrenaline-pumping experience! Join us for ClimbFest, where you can conquer thrilling heights, test your skills, and push your limits in a safe and controlled environment. Our RMC Adventure Staff will teach you the basics of indoor climbing and certify you for future adventures. If you are an experienced climber, you will be able to challenge yourself on various routes and navigate several challenges. Get ready for the ultimate rock climbing adventure this Welcome Week!

Flying Wild Yellow Jacket Paper Airplane Contest

Can you fold a paper airplane that can go the distance with accuracy? Test (or discover) your skills in our Flying Wild Yellow Jacket Paper Airplane Contest! Get ready to work with the paper provided in teams of at least two to craft planes which will be judged for long distance and accuracy (different planes can be used for each category, too!) Prizes will be awarded for planes that are the most accurate, fly the longest distance and are the most creative. Come fly with us!
