If you want a dedicated replacement for your lost Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 to get back on the trail without buying a whole new set, choose wusheation Single Right Ear; if you need a fresh pair of lightweight, modern wireless earbuds with superior battery life and water resistance for hiking, choose Defunc True LITE II.
• wusheation Single Right Ear: The ultimate fix for a broken or lost right-side earbud of the Galaxy Buds 2 ecosystem, offering seamless compatibility with your existing case and Active Noise Cancellation. It is for the hiker who already owns a Buds 2 set and just needs one side to finish the job.
• Defunc True LITE II: A complete standalone pair featuring Bluetooth 6.0, IPX4 waterproofing, and a robust 20-hour total playtime with a Scandinavian-inspired design. It is for the hiker looking for a brand-new, durable, all-day audio companion that doesn't rely on an older charging case.
This product serves a very specific, critical niche in the world of personal audio. If you have been enjoying your Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 but suddenly lose the right bud or it stops working, this single unit is your solution. It is engineered specifically for the model SM-R177, ensuring that when you place it into your original charging case, it behaves exactly like the factory unit did. You aren't getting a generic third-party clone that might struggle to charge or pair; you are getting a unit designed to integrate perfectly with the hardware you already own.
The inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) here is significant because it means you don't lose the core experience of your previous setup. Many cheaper replacements strip away noise cancellation to cut costs, but this unit maintains the balanced sound profile and ANC capabilities. This is crucial for outdoor environments where wind noise or distant chatter can be distracting. The design mimics the compact, ergonomic shape of the original, providing a secure seal that is essential for keeping the earbud in place during movement. Whether you are navigating a rocky path or simply walking through a windy forest, the fit remains stable.

However, this is not a purchase for someone starting from scratch. You must already possess the left earbud and the original charging case for this to function. If you do not have the left side, this single unit will sit idle. It is also limited by the battery specifications of the original Galaxy Buds 2 architecture, which offers around six hours of playtime with ANC enabled. While this is decent for a standard day, it may require more frequent recharging compared to newer, high-capacity designs if you plan on multi-day hikes without access to power. Ultimately, this is the perfect tool for the pragmatic buyer who refuses to replace a perfectly good left earbud just because the right one broke.
The Defunc True LITE II represents a completely different philosophy: a fresh start with modern technology built for everyday life and outdoor activity. Born from a design ethos rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, these earbuds prioritize clean aesthetics and functional simplicity. They come as a full set, meaning you get two matching units ready to go out of the box. The design focuses on a semi-in-ear ergonomic fit that feels natural for long periods, making them ideal for commuters, office workers, and hikers who need comfort over eight hours of use.
What sets this apart for outdoor enthusiasts is the combination of connectivity and durability. Featuring Bluetooth 6.0, these earbuds offer a stable connection with a range of up to ten meters, reducing the risk of dropouts even if your phone is in a backpack pocket. The IPX4 waterproof rating is a game-changer for hiking; it protects against sweat and light rain, ensuring that a sudden downpour or a heavy climb doesn't ruin your music. Furthermore, the 13mm dynamic drivers deliver rich bass and clear vocals, catering to listeners who want premium sound quality without the complexity of high-end flagship models.
The battery life is another major advantage here. With a total playtime of up to 20 hours including the charging case, you are looking at multiple days of listening on a single charge cycle. This eliminates the anxiety of running out of power mid-hike. The unit also supports Low Latency performance, which is excellent for watching videos or movies while traveling. The touch controls allow for easy management of calls and music, and the Encrypted Clear Calls feature ensures your voice comes through clearly even in noisy environments. This product is for the buyer who wants a reliable, all-around performer that balances style, durability, and sound quality without being tethered to an older device generation.

I would choose the Defunc True LITE II for my next hiking trip. While the wusheation replacement is a brilliant engineering fix for a specific problem, I prefer the reliability and battery capacity of a modern, standalone pair. The 20-hour battery life and IPX4 waterproofing make it far better suited for the unpredictable nature of the outdoors, where I won't have access to a charging station for days. The modern Bluetooth 6.0 connection and comfortable semi-in-ear design provide a freedom that a legacy replacement part cannot match. For anyone seeking the best clip-on earbuds for hiking that balance sound quality with endurance, the Defunc True LITE II is the superior choice.
