I created this guide to learn how to validate a website and create one from scratch while understanding the steps needed for a well developed and responsive website. I chose to do a non-profit site called Utahtrails.com, for an example. This is a site that helps the community come together and help clean up our mountains and the wonderful hiking trails for others to enjoy the wild life and the scenery. Here you can learn about Persona's, wireframes, completed templates and prototypes. Each of these are progressive steps to build a great website for your audience and businesses alike. On the left is a complete guide to learning what each principle is. For the interactive part of the same guide, here are two prototypes, "https://invis.io/RQRN9S04WMV#/359244652_Home_Desktop" to view the desktop version. If you want to see the mobile version,"https://invis.io/Z7R11F2BV52#/359210514_Home_Mobile".
Learning how to wireframe and create a prototype was very simple to do. This process that I have learned is taking things step be step to know how to effectively communicate the work through your design. This is before the actual site or product is published for the viewer to use. The first review below is a hierarchy presentation of the product in review as a way to commercialize the product. This presentation is to show an example of how to communicate the finished design. The next two following two links below it, are articles about my projects that I chose to put together in order to demonstrate how wireframes and prototypes works. Even if it was from creating an idea in addition to what is already there for the user to utilize. These two steps are important because, no one wants to miscommunicate the details. Also, because the final test can be proven to work as it is to be expected for the user through the creation of wireframes and the prototype process. Each of these articles will explain in depth how I was able to complete the projects.
For another Validation project, I chose to investigate, review, and write a report of this device. Please slide through the presentation for the Hieristic review above.
https://turnfun-exp.netlify.com is the first site I put together for fun while learning how to code in HTML and CSS. If you wish to explore the website in how I have put it together, feel free to browse around. You can even inspect them to find out how the code was laid out.
In order to become a great designer for web development, I chose to learn about JavaScript. With some help and guidance throughout my learning process, I was able to develop my first code based portfolio (on the left) as well as a few other fun things that were added in. All of this was done by HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in its basic form. I was able to create a web profile of what JavaScript can do (on the right). Please click on these links below to view more about them. To view my first coded portfolio click or press on this link here. To view the other link to my advanced learning of JavaScript, click or press on this other link here.
WARNING: both of these links are best viewed on a laptop or computer. This will not look as great on a mobile phone or any small devices.
I took it upon myself to learn a new type of coding language that for me is something completely new and random. Even though it has been around for years, Python is a coding language and skill that most people use for businesses by collecting and updating data. Python coding is like taking a math class where you are given the problem and you have to code out the solution in order for it to work. The key part is, will it work in the end? If the result is true and the answer is true, then the errors will not show and the computer's responding answers will be correct according to the data you type into it. This picture on the right is one of my favorites that I came up with that is called a "turtle" project. It is only made up of shapes and colors.
For this project I learned to work with a team to improve a small part of a school website. I learned the basics that had to be kept as part of the website and tried to improve the rest by rearranging, or redesign the website to make it look better and more attractive. This site is from the Culinary Arts program at UVU who came and asked for some help in order to recruit more people to study the arts of cooking food. The designing aspect of this was rather interesting to see how things would come together after learning what parts of the page worked best for the user and what was more eye catching. On the left is a guide where students signed up for classes in that field. This is a slide show presentation for the final results of it.
Learning how to immerse oneself into projects takes proper knowledge with showing the data. These three links below are articles about my projects that I chose to put together in order to demonstrate how certain data works. This type of data is similar to looking at the back of a library book or an audio book for that matter. Each of these articles will explain in depth how I was able to complete the data.
For this project I was asked to create a Kiosk for a historical event, or person, or place. This was done by a program known as HYPE which turns pictures and words into an animated work of art. The end results of this project were finalized onto a web source file. Please view the PDF on the left to learn more about what I have completed for this project. If you would like to see the project, then click or press here on the HTML version. This is a link that brings you a file you will have to download before viewing the HTML project from hype.
having enough knowledge and know how of the processes and the designing stages can work best when your finally in the field. However, working with clients is a different story all together. the customers and clients are the people that drive your business and opportunities to show your work and help to teach others of what the process is at the professional level. Here is the presentation of what I did while being teamed up with a group of 3 others. this presentation is all about what we learned and gathered in order to make a website for a client. sadly the project was not finished.
Working with customers and clients is a bit challenging. Web designers have to learn to work with their customers to gain the ideas and information needed that is necessary to build a website from scratch. They also have to work around difficult schedules in order to have approval of content and publications as well as banners, logo's, slogans, and other things that will help the customers business grow. Once the step by step process is shown and approved by the client, the coding process can begin to make the prototypes more of a successful business or an official website. I have learned that it is a daily challenge to help the clients become excited and happy about their ideas and your designs as well as their own so that they can be happy about what you do as a web designer. Along the way, you will never know about the things that they can learn as you show your progress to them. As well as how to keep them involved and in contact with them so that they can hopefully return for more projects and referrals of others and their projects and ideas.
Here is a presentation to Advance your knowledge about our Technology. This talks about how we have advanced in what is available to us today. You will see the idea of how things work together through audio, visual and other Codec formats.
Part of learning about websites and designing them, is to understand more of the reasons behind them. These two above are about how formats and other things we use in technology work. As well as why it is important to have it accessible for others to use them.
For this Topic I have studied the importance of business laws towards web designs and management. I have learned what corporates do to protect their rights towards their company with their products and designs. This example shown on the right is used to understand what it takes to make a good advertizement without causing any copyright, trademark, or patent infringements or any other law suits according to the practices of the laws and standards of what any business would have to follow.
Product management is all about the business of how products are being made, handled and distributed. While projects are being managed through the ideal thoughts and creations all the way to designing the final product out of the design work flow. As I have explained in an earlier example above, by showing how i can validate a project. the design work comes from idea creations to designing wireframes, surface compositions, prototypes, and the final products that each idea was proposed. During the study of this topic I learned how to better manage my time, my projects, how to work with others and colaborate with teams to be agile effectively with myself, my team, and with my clients. I have learned that I am able to fulfill my customers and clients goals even if it means to pivot from one project to the next.
This is a PDF version of what I was able to publish as a book. I have learned how to take good photographic images and use specific software such as Pano2VR to make a photo turn into a virtual reality experience. I have learned how to visually enhance photography and capture audiences attention through good designs and QR codes.
Figma is another fantastic way of designing your ideas into colabrative and engaging interactive design products for others. This article explains my first reaction into the program and how it can be used for other projects.
I also studied what VR means and how it will impact a lot of others for years to come. In doing so I have made another web page with animated panoramas of different places and objects as a creative way to design things. As well as make a digitally enhanced way to provide art, advertizements and take others on a informative journey through the eyes of a photographer. Some of these examples are posted in Google maps.
By learning how to create podcasts as well as mobile designs and media publishing. I am able to view what my audience should be according to the topic and or brand or business. The importance of understanding your audience and how to reach out to a variety range of audiences is key to a good design and to establish and strengthen any business. please see the next three examples below.

I also did a project while learning about the importance of User experience as I take on different and unique design projects. For this study I colaborated with others to compare three different tv's while learning the importance of the product between the customers and clients and their journey of interests versus the needs of how to grow a business by their products and how to find ways to improve them.
