Principal Investigator 實驗室主持人
陳威翔博士為國立中山大學環境工程研究所專任教授，目前同時兼任環境工程研究所所長、工學院副院長、與氣膠科學研究中心副主任。在加入中山團隊之前，陳博士在美國加州戴維斯分校之 John Muir Institute of the Environment 擔任了為期兩年的博士後研究員（2009-2011)，主要學歷為在2009年於美國加州大學戴維斯分校得到環境工程博士學位。
Dr. Wei-Hsiang Chen is a professor in the Institute of Environmental Engineering at National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung of Taiwan. He is also the Associate Vice President for General Affairs/Vice Chief Executive Officer for Environmental Protection and Safety Center and Associate Director of Aerosol Science Research Center in NSYSU. Before joining NSYSU, Dr. Chen was a Post-Doctoral Scholar in John Muir Institute of the Environment at the University of California in Davis of CA (UCD) since January 2009. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering (Minor in Environmental Chemistry) from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCD in 2009.

Research Interests and Goal 實驗室研究興趣與未來目標
The research interests of the WTTR focus on the complex array of environmental physical and chemical processes and the associated applications to solve problems that pose risks to the environment and human health. Among many application domains in which environmental physical and chemical processes play fundamental roles, the lab is particularly interested in the areas of
(1) Water and Wastewater Treatment Technology 飲用水與廢污水處理技術;
(2) Emerging Contaminant and Disinfection Byproduct 新興污染物與消毒副產物;
(3) Multi-Media Environmental Fate, Transport, and Distribution 污染物多介質環境宿命與傳輸流佈;
(4) Health Risk Assessment 健康風險評估;
(5) Multivariate Statistical Analysis for Sustainable Environmental Management 應用多變量分析發展最佳環境管理策略;
The overall goal of our lab is to look at environmental problems from a theoretical perspective, understand the structure, investigate potentially significant factors, and thus be able to develop efficient and sustainable solutions.
