WSU Chemistry Events

The Chemistry Department looks forward to hosting local youth during STEM day on March 12, 2019 and helping them learn about some of the many joys of our science! Students will experience: Acids & Bases, Cloud in a Bottle, How do medicines work? The chemistry of medicines, Liquid Crystals: The chemistry behind mood rings and iPhone screens, Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, Making an Explosion: Volcanoes, Unicorn Slime, and What's the (triple) point!? Phasing out the scents of nature.

Join us on May 10, 2019 for an exciting day of science in honor of our recent hire of Prof. Hien Nguyen to the Johnson-Pfizer Endowed Chair position.
