Garrett Dorr - Ferries Forum Project

This is my 8th Grade Forum Project. It is an all-year project that every 8th-grader does at the Harbor School. You choose a topic that interests you, do research, write a paper, and do a service action. For my project, I chose the Washington State Ferries. For my action, I talked to Marsha Morse, an islander that worked for the ferries in different roles for nearly 50 years, including being one of the first female captains. I also visited the Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility and toured and talked with the general manager, Tim Clancy. I also made a Beachcomber Opinion Piece.
