Officer positions open! Looking to become a secretary, treasurer, or something else?
In ICSTEM, we work towards inspiring our fellow students interested in the STEM field by exposing them to new opportunities and connections in order to explore the vast professions that the STEM field has to offer.
ICSTEM was founded in order for students on campus, specifically women, to know about the extensive STEM careers they could pursue that they wouldn't have known about before. By bringing in STEM professionals like surgeons, cancer specialists, and engineers to speak to our members, we strive to open up new opportunities for students and have any of their questions answered.
In ICSTEM, we strive to empower young teenagers to explore the different fields that STEM has to offer and connect with professionals who can provide advice and opportunities
Discussions: With our monthly meetings, we open up the conversation to STEM professionals, letting them give their honest experiences to highschool students and letting them ask any burning questions to an esteemed professional
Connections: By either talking one on one or as a group, students can receive personal information from these professionals who they can contact later in life if ever needing job opportunities or volunteer experience
Exposure Opportunities: Through being exposed to these new fields, an entire new career is waiting to be explored, and bringing in professionals allows students to be aware of specialized fields and pursue a new interest in them
Awards: After being a member for 2 years and attending 4 out of the 5 meetings yearly, you can be awarded with a graduation cord and ceremony that shows your dedication to our club and your future.
Join us to become more exposed to the vast opportunities the STEM field has to offer! To become one of us:
