Associate Research Scientist - Yale University
I am a research scientist in the astronomy department at Yale University working with Dr. Pieter van Dokkum. I lead the Dragonfly Ultrawide Survey, a low surface brightness complement to the Sloan Digital Sky Survey using the Dragonfly Telephoto Array to study ultra diffuse galaxies and nearby dwarf galaxies. I am also a member of the the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX) collaboration.
I completed my PhD in astronomy & astrophysics at The Pennsylvania State University working with Dr. Robin Ciardullo, Dr. Joel Leja, and Dr. Caryl Gronwall. I studied galaxy formation and evolution through the lens of large emission-line galaxy surveys at cosmic noon using the spectral energy distribution fitting code that I co-developed, MCSED.
Outside of work you can find me snowboarding, fishing, and hanging out with my cats.Â
