A 10 minute walk from the campsite is this well loved free entry heritage site – with working watermill that still mills flour.
Immediately linked to the mill is Worsbrough Country Park, a 240 acre free to visit nature reserve with public art around the site.
While at the Worsbrough Mill and Country Park, you could drop in for a tasty treat or arrange in store collection.
Wigfield Farm is approx. 30 minutes walk away to visit and meet wonderful farm animals with a café on site for light refreshments. Note the walk has a road with no pavements, it is beside the Trans Pennine Trail.
Around the area are access points to the Transpennine Trail, making the site a great stop off for D of E groups, and a way to explore the local area on foot.
Just 10 minutes away by bus is Barnsley town centre full of attractions and things to do. An easy to find bus stop is at St Mary's Church, Worsbrough with buses roughly every hour both ways.
