Race 27: Le Mans
Lap 1 - Tristian Wilhoit and Jeffrey Finguy take the green flag!
Lap 1 - Lead Change! Finguy isn't taking no for an answer! He storms past Wilhoit off of turn two!
Lap 1 - Wilhoit tries to regain the lead down the mulsanne straight! He is side by side for the whole thing with Finguy! Malcolm Sweet helps draft Finguy past at the end of the straightaway!
Lap 1 - CAUTION! Huge crash between Christopher Akron and Ben Dover near the end of the lap! No one hits them unbelievably!
Lap 3 - Malcolm Sweet takes less fuel than his competitors to get out of the pits first! Your previous leader Jeffrey Finguy is relegated to third.
Lap 4 - Malcolm Sweet takes the restart! 9 to go!
Lap 4 - Wilhoit dive bombs Sweet into the second chicane after a push from Finguy! Wilhoit almost makes the pass but Sweet gets the better run off the turn!
Lap 7 - Wilhoit gets a good draft off of Sweet and tries again in the second chicane! No cigar once again for Wilhoit.
Lap 7 - Lead Change! Sweet and Wilhoit can't make it on fuel! They come in as Finguy and Edwards storm on by and try to stretch the fuel!
Lap 8 - Edwards attempts to dive bomb Finguy into the second chicane! Just like Wilhoit he can't make the pass stick!
Lap 9 - Edwards gets along side of Finguy in the first chicane this time! Finguy roughs him up to keep the lead! What a battle!
Lap 9 - Edwards tries again with an even more aggressive dive on Finguy! He has to mess up his line to avoid hitting the 92! Finguy keeps the lead!
Lap 10 - Finguy, Edwards, and Angel all can't make it! Now everyone has pit for fuel as Finguy takes two to go in the pit lane!
Lap 11 - ALL THREE OF THEM TAKE A SPLASH AND GO! Everyone else has fresher tires but are so far back! Can those three stay out front for two more laps?!
Lap 11 - Finguy and Edwards are side by side through the entire first chicane! Edwards uses the runoff to stay with him! Finguy keeps the lead with the better run on the outside!
Lap 11 - Edwards now attempts a move in the second chicane! Finguy swipes across the nose of the 02! They almost crash each other as they go through the chicane now single file!
Lap 12 - WHITE FLAG! Finguy has one lap to go as Edwards runs wide for the first time in the last turn! He is farther back entering this lap than previous laps!
Lap 12 - Edwards uses both chicanes to gain all the ground back as he reaches Finguy's bumper heading towards the end of the straightaway! Can he make the pass?!
Lap 12 - Finguy holds him off! Now there is really only one more passing opportunity left for Edwards, and that's in the last few turns of the track!
Lap 12 - CHECKERED FLAG! Edwards tries the bump and run but can't complete it in the last turn! That means Jeffrey Finguy will win at the most prestigious track in racing! He wins in Le Mans!
