Psycho-oncology is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of physical, psychological, social, and behavioral aspects of the cancer experience for both patients and caregivers.
The Psycho-Oncology specialty seeks to represent all areas of psycho-oncology in science and practice at an excellent scientific level.
Psycho-oncology services are most usually led by a psychologist supported by psychotherapists, counselors, nurses, psychiatrists and social workers, and are also integrated with palliative care.
