Awesome work! Im a bit confused though by your process for texture mods. Im not following the procedure needed in order to get them to work. It seems, in your description, that I am supposed to have the same thing in the folder and zip and that does not make sense to me.
Any mods that we had put into the main DCS directory (c:\program files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS\mods , for example) we should remove and put them in an identical folder tree within the c:\users\saved games\DCS\ directory?
Im still not following on the .lua file for terrain mods. I have no idea where that is, and for Mustangs mod, Ive searched the .lua and see nothing pertaining to mounting like you have above. Ive made sure that the mod is not zipped and that I am not replacing the files that were there originally, but it continues to fail IC.
It's complaining about tons of textures mods. I've taken mustangs update from July 12th and just installed it as it's not zipped by default. Is there something I need to change or not copy over to get this to work?

Most servers have the checkbox ticked for pure client. Mainly to avoid cheating for pvp.
Also most mods are not particularly good. For instance the F22 mod uses the flaming cliffs F15 cockpit and not a purpose made cockpit for the mod. Exceptions to this are the skyhawk, the Italian marcheti and the fabulous C130 mod.
So if you want to join MP fly the F15 as the cockpit is familiar to you and weapons delivery is also the same. The only difference is the Charlie ammraams instead of the mod made delta variant.
Reading your other thread I would respectfully suggest forgetting mods and concentrate on learning a plane that will be available on most servers and fly mods in SP
Bioware have previously said that anyone seeking to install mods of any description that alter the behaviour or performance of the swtor client in any way* will have their accounts suspended or closed. So I'm going to go with "no, they are not happy with the idea of 3rd party modders.
The answer is the same for them all.
Opening up the Xbox for freeware mods might be avenue for this but as real world liveries are corporate branding and subject to international copywrite law neither Microsoft nor Asobo can just appropriate them for their own commercial gain.

The main WoT game directory has a special sub-folder named res_mods. This folder is where Mods are installed, in a subdirectory named, res_mods/0.X.Y, where 0.X.Y is the most recent WoT patch version number. The active Mod directory name therefore changes with each WoT version patch. Typically, each Mod will require update and modification to make it compatible with the latest patch. Instructions for installing into the res_mods/0.X.Y are usually included as a readme.txt file with each Mod or are presented at the download site. Un-installing the Mod is as simple as deleting the files pertaining to it from res_mods/0.X.Y and any applicable sub-directories.Backup copies of the res_mod directory before and after a successful installation are always a good idea.
However I like variety and even though I have a reasonable amount of modules I like to try new planes. It turns out there are a few free mods, some are based on planes in the game but some do not seem to be. I have tried 4, some seem to be buggy resulting in a game crash but hopefully this will be fixed over time.
Here is the Queen Elizabeth Carrier mod. It's a bit low res and there is no bow wave (the ship is doing 20 knots). I have added an F35 mod as well, but few plane mods are in the same league as the A4 I showed earlier. The upcoming Grisellimod F22 is not bad and I will show it later.
3 Creating a UK Carrier strike group (UKCSG) mission, I am testing a variety of mods, Including the F35, the AW101 Merlin (AI), the carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth and the Type 45 Destroyer HMS Duncan. I cannot find a mod for a type 23 frigate, so I will try to find a US/Canadian counterpart. Here is HMS Duncan with a couple of Merlin's
A modification (mod) is an add-on to a video game that is created by third-party developers or enthusiasts using an SDK supplied with the game. While mods can be very useful in customizing your gaming experience, outdated, damaged, or illegal mods can cause issues with both your PC and your account.
We're constantly studying your feedback to keep up with the most discussed topics within the community, one of which is modifications, or mods. One of your biggest concerns is fair play and the use of so-called "cheat mods". These unauthorized third-party modifications give those who use them an unfair advantage, spoiling your fun in battles.
Unfortunately, this is a sour subject in the whole gaming industry, as mods, including the unfair ones, are constantly evolving alongside the industry itself. There is no universal solution to this problem, but our specialists are always on the lookout for ways to ensure Fair Play.
Banned mods are ones that provide players with an unfair advantage over the rest. Such modifications are added to the list of prohibited software, and players that are caught using them are punished. The list includes:
Biplanes Mod truly adds incredible planes to Minecraft. The mod allows you to fly around the world and explore it from above, which is a great way to get an aerial perspective on your favorite places in Minecraft.
Alongside the introduction of Epic Modernizations, we are also doing a balancing pass on some 4th Slot modernizations. This is intended to help accommodate the new Epic Mods and change the popularity of some of these mods. The changes are:
Many thanks and great to see these fine aircraft and working well. Unfortunately the AI is unable to land the IL-96, as it most often attempts to land about 50m -100m short of the runway resulting in either severe damage or exploding. On a few occasions it did land normally on the runway but it came down too hard resulting in severe damage. That was tested on Altis airbase and Tanoa airport. It's a similar problem I've encountered with some other large civil jets in other mods.
I don't blame you! ? AI are just stupid anyway and honestly they don't seem to get the right waypoint half the time anyway, so even though they can land now, they like to fly around in circles since the flight characteristics don't mesh well with the in-world built-in landing waypoints which appear to be tailored to fighters.
Without a doubt, Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 is one of the most exciting flight simulators ever released. Based on brand-new hardware and software technology, it brings at-home flight simulation up to a whole new level. And, there have been many freeware add-ons and mods that have been made available for it since its release.
Here we cover some of the best releases in our complete guide below which have been thoroughly tested and hand-picked. This article is updated often as updates and new mods are released so be sure to bookmark this page.
Note on Sim Updates: All of the mods featured here are working in the latest Sim Update (SU) at the time of publication. Microsoft regularly releases Sim Update packages and more often than not these seem to break the add-ons in one way or another. As soon as the developers release updates to their freeware we roll that update into the file listed in our library. Some developers are slower than others so there may be a short delay in updating the mod after a Sim Update has been released.
Some of the best add-ons enhance your flight simulation experience worldwide. One download and the entire world changes in the flight simulator. No need to download hundreds of individual add-ons to achieve a complete change, with global enhancements such as global scenery and mods, a simple, single download could change your entire Microsoft Flight Simulator experience. This is what's covered below - mods that change the entire globe. These are also the most requested type of mods so we have listed them at the start of this article.
Another great freeware add-on is the Airbus A330-900 neo, a wide-body jet designed and manufactured by Airbus in the real world and now available to virtual pilots in the simulated one. Able to carry almost 300 passengers, and with a range of just over 8000 miles, this is one of the most fuel-efficient and modern aircraft currently in the air.
The Sukhoi SuperJet 100-95 is a pinnacle of freeware and open-source innovation, delivering an unparalleled flight simulation experience. This add-on, a detailed recreation of the real-world aircraft, is a collaboration between AEROPROYECTO and the FlyByWire A32NX team, showcasing Russian aviation's post-Soviet advancement.
The add-on not only replicates the A32NX's systems but adapts them to the SuperJet 100's unique attributes. The result is a flight experience that authentically mirrors the aircraft's real-world dynamics, enhanced by expert input for accuracy.
