This workshop is related to the activities of the following two projects supported by the Italian Ministry of University and Research:
- PRIN 2022 entitled “Modelling complex biOlogical systeMs for biofuEl productioN and sTorAge: mathematics meets green industry (MOMENTA)”, code PRIN_202248TY47. The network involves the following teams: University of Naples “Federico II”, University of Messina and “University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale”;
- PNRR 2022 PNRR entitled “A multidisciplinary approach to evaluate ecosystems resilience under climate change (MATFORPAT)”, code P2022WC2ZZ. The network involves the following teams: University of Naples “Federico II”, University of Messina and “University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
The workshop aims at gathering researchers with different backgrounds by advancing and sharing cutting-edge knowledge in mathematical modelling of complex biological systems, ordinary and partial differential equations, reaction-advection-diffusion systems, pattern formation and stability, and free-boundary problems. Particular emphasis will be given on applications in the production and storage of biofuels as well as on vegetation dynamics and ecosystems’ resilience.
