Effective Date: March 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Worko HR application collects, uses, processes, and protects users’ personal data. By using the application, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
We collect only the data necessary to provide the core functionality of the application:
Used to determine whether an employee is within the designated workplace geofence in order to confirm arrival and departure.
Used to verify the identity of the user through facial recognition technology during check-in and check-out.
The collected data is used strictly for the following purposes:
Confirming employee check-in and check-out;
Ensuring that only authorized employees can mark attendance;
Generating reports and managing work schedules;
Verifying user identity through biometric matching.
When a user attempts to check in or out, the device’s front camera is activated;
A photo of the user is captured;
Image capture occurs only if the user is within the authorized workplace geofence.
The captured image is transmitted to the server in encrypted form;
A one-time verification is performed by comparing the image with previously registered biometric data;
The result is recorded as either successful or unsuccessful verification.
Biometric data is not stored permanently;
The captured image is retained for no longer than 10 minutes, solely for verification purposes;
After verification is complete, the image is automatically and permanently deleted;
Images are not reused or stored for future purposes.
Exceptions may apply only where required by law.
Temporary storage is necessary to ensure proper functioning of facial recognition algorithms, including handling potential network delays. The retention period (up to 10 minutes) is technically justified and limited to the minimum required.
Biometric data is not shared, sold, or transferred to third parties;
All processing is performed exclusively on company servers;
No external services or contractors have access to facial data.
No third parties store biometric data on behalf of Worko HR. All data is processed in real time and deleted immediately after use.
By using the check-in and check-out features, the user explicitly consents to:
The collection and temporary processing of facial images;
The use of location data at the time of attendance marking;
The secure transmission of this data to the server for identity verification and attendance tracking.
Users may withdraw consent at any time by disabling camera or location permissions in their device settings. In such cases, attendance features will not be available.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data:
Data is transmitted using secure protocols (e.g., HTTPS, TLS);
Location data is collected only at the time of attendance and is not used for continuous tracking;
Biometric data is not stored and is deleted immediately after verification (except where required by law).
Personal data may be shared with third parties only in the following cases:
When required by law or governmental authorities;
To protect the company’s legal rights, interests, or safety;
With the user’s explicit consent.
