Overview WordStick is a Chrome extension that helps users look up and save English vocabulary while reading webpages. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Data Collection WordStick does NOT collect any personal data. No information about you or your browsing is ever sent to our servers, because we have no servers.
Local Storage All vocabulary data — including saved words, translations, categories, and view counts — is stored entirely on your own device using Chrome's built-in local storage. This data never leaves your browser.
Third-Party APIs WordStick makes requests to the following public APIs to fetch word information:
api.dictionaryapi.dev — English definitions and phonetics
translate.googleapis.com — Chinese translations
en.wikipedia.org — Word-related images
Only the word being looked up is included in these requests. No personal information, browsing history, or user identity is transmitted.
No Account Required WordStick does not require registration or login. We do not collect email addresses or any other personal information.
No Analytics or Tracking WordStick does not use any analytics tools, tracking pixels, or third-party monitoring services of any kind.
Children's Privacy WordStick does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
