Privacy Policy
Effective: 9 October 2026
WordBloom is a word puzzle game. This policy explains what happens to information when you play it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
WordBloom has no accounts and no servers of ours. Your progress, coins and settings are stored on your own phone. We cannot see them. The one part of the app that involves other companies is advertising, and purchases if you choose to remove ads.
What the game stores on your phone
The game saves, on your device only:
• how far you have played: current level, coins, levels completed, bonus words found, hints used
• your daily challenge streak and the day you last completed it
• which achievements you have claimed
• your settings: sound, music, haptics, reminders, and whether you have bought "Remove ads"
• the puzzle you have part-finished, so you can come back to it.
This never leaves your device except through Android's own backup, described next. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes all of it permanently. We have no copy.
Android backup
If you have Android's backup switched on for your Google account, Android copies the saved game above to your Google Drive backup so your progress survives a new phone. That copy is controlled by Google and by your device settings, not by us. You can switch it off in Android's system settings, under backup.
Advertising
The game shows ads through Google AdMob:
• a banner on the home and journey screens
• a full-screen ad after every second level you complete
• a video you can choose to watch in exchange for coins.
To deliver, measure and protect those ads, Google may collect and process information such as your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and interactions with the ads. We do not receive this information; we see only aggregate earnings reports.
Google's practices are described at https://business.safety.google/privacy/ and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
We ask Google to limit ads to a maximum content rating of PG.
Your choices about ads
Where the law requires consent — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states — the app shows Google's consent form the first time you open it. Your choice decides whether ads are personalised.
You can change that choice at any time: Settings → Privacy choices inside the game. That option appears where such a choice applies.
On any device you can also limit ad tracking in Android's own settings, under privacy and ads, including deleting or resetting your advertising ID.
Buying "Remove ads" removes the banner and the full-screen ads. Videos you choose to watch for coins remain available.
Purchases
If you buy "Remove ads", the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. Google processes your payment; we never see your card details or billing address. The app receives only confirmation that the product was bought, which it stores on your device so ads stay off.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the game sends you a reminder about twice a day, for example that the daily challenge is waiting. These are created on your own phone. No data is sent anywhere to produce them, and they are never sent between 10pm and 8am, or while you are playing.
You can switch them off at any time in Settings → Reminders, or in Android's notification settings for the app.
Permissions the app asks for
• Notifications — only for the reminder described above. Refusing it does not affect the game.
• Internet and network state — to load ads and to reach Google Play for purchases. The puzzles themselves work offline.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in. If you email us for support, we will have whatever you write in that email, and nothing else.
Children
WordBloom is suitable for all ages, but it is a general audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, write to us at the address below and we will delete it.
Keeping information safe
Because the game stores its data only on your device, that data is protected by your device's own security, including its screen lock and encryption. Information handled by Google for ads and purchases is protected under Google's own security practices.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will appear in the app and the effective date at the top will change. Continuing to play after that date means the updated policy applies.
