Welcome to Word Counter - Writing, Notes ("we," "our," or "the App"), developed by AILM Labs. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information associated with your use of our application. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles your data, your content, and your privacy rights.
Our core philosophy is offline-first and client-side execution:
Your Text and Documents: Any text, draft, note, or document you input, paste, analyze, or format within the App is processed entirely in your device’s local memory and stored in your device’s private local database (Room/SQLite).
No Content Transmission: We do not transmit, upload, collect, monitor, or store your typed words, notes, exported files (PDF, DOCX, TXT), or analysis metrics on any remote server or cloud service.
A. Local App Preferences & Settings
The App stores basic configuration settings locally on your device via Android DataStore, including:
Display themes, accent color selections, font sizes, and reading speed preferences.
App language choices and export configuration preferences.
Local VIP / Pro membership state flags.
This data never leaves your device and is only used to personalize your app experience.
B. In-App Purchases & Subscription Data
If you purchase a Pro subscription or lifetime license through Google Play Billing:
Transactions are securely managed and processed directly by the Google Play Store.
We do not receive, store, or process your credit card details, billing address, or financial information.
The App only receives anonymous purchase confirmation tokens from Google Play to unlock premium capabilities.
C. Optional Crash & Diagnostic Data
Depending on your Android system settings, Google Play may automatically provide anonymous, aggregated crash reports and performance diagnostics to help us fix technical bugs and ensure app stability.
The App requests minimal permissions strictly necessary for its functionality:
Storage / File Creation (Scoped Storage): Required solely when you explicitly choose to export and save documents (PDF, DOC, TXT) to your device's Downloads or Documents folder.
Internet Permission: Used exclusively to check Google Play Store billing status and subscription validity.
We do not request or access your contacts, camera, microphone, GPS location, or device identifiers.
The App utilizes standard Google Android system components:
Google Play In-App Billing: To process in-app upgrades and subscription management in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Because all your notes, drafts, and settings reside on your device:
You have full control over your data. You can delete individual notes or clear all application data at any time from within the App or via Android Settings > Apps > Word Counter > Storage > Clear Data.
Uninstalling the App immediately deletes all local database records and preferences.
Our App does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
