Ian Hill is an exciting educator and hornist from the Adirondack region, who recently graduated with his Master's degree from SUNY Oswego. This will be his first year teaching in the Wood County School District! Before coming to Oseetah Woods, Ian taught music and band lessons at Saint Bernard Catholic School here in Saranac Lake. He is also a renowned hornist who currently serves as principal horn for the Albany Symphony Orchestra, as well as being involved in several brass ensembles and woodwind quintets. Ian loves teaching elementary band as he is not only teaching young children how to play an instrument but also getting more experience on the instruments himself. (double reeds especially, he notes) He is very excited to begin his first year as a full-time band teacher doing what he has always dreamed of doing. He maintains an active brass studio and teaches French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba.
