The Club is affiliated to the ASA and all our teachers are ASA qualified and hold the current National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers.

Most of our swimmers stay with us until they are advanced swimmers, gaining their Bronze, Silver and Gold Challenge Awards; some even achieve the top award - Honours Challenge. We now have some of our past pupils bringing their children to us for lessons, which is great to know they enjoyed their time with us so much!

Our teachers have been with us for many years and live locally.

The club ensures that all members of staff have a DBS certificate.

Honours Challenge

Congratulations to Ailsa, Rowan, Sarah and Edward. All four have passed the Honours Challenge Award at Woodcote Swimming Club.

In our opinion this award is the hardest in the ASA award scheme.

The most difficult part of the award is a 40 length swim in twenty minutes using various strokes. Whilst swimming these lengths they also perform 4 surface dives, during each one, swimming underwater through 2 hoops set at a distance of 4 metres apart.
