I have been working as an associate professor at Global Liberal Arts Program & Department of Global Business, Rikkyo University since 2025. I did my undergraduate studies in University of California, Berkeley, with double degree of Economics (B.A.) and Environmental Economics & Policy (B.S.). I received my doctoral degree in engineering at Technology Management, Economics, and Policy Program (TEMEP), Seoul National University. Before I joined Rikkyo University, I was at The University of Kitakyushu from 2021 until 2025 as an assistant/associate professor, and I had also stayed at Institute of Innovation Research, Hitotsubashi University as a postdoctoral researcher in 2020-2021.
The main focus of my study includes economic complexity and industrial/technological diversification, and evolving national capability in innovation and production. Most of the studies are based on evolutionary economic perspective, including the concepts of path-dependence and co-evolution.
I conduct both theoretic and empirical research using large trade and patent data at macro-level.
The current version of my CV (as of Apr 2025) is here.
