This Year's Speaker

Rev. Dr. Maria E. Lynn

Maria enjoys using her gifts of teaching, administration, and hospitality to serve the Lord in the local church and around the world. She holds an education degree from Radford University, an MDiv from BTSR, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership Administration/Supervision from VCU, and recently defended her DMin project at BTSR.

Maria has served as Interim Pastor of Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church, Director of Mission Involvement and Interim Executive Director for WMUV, a church planter, a minister of education, and as coordinator for the Virginia Baptist partnership with the ministry at Standing Rock Reservation in the Dakotas.

Maria’s passion is encouraging Christ-followers to be a faithful presence wherever they find themselves.
