Accommodation in Halmstad
Accommodations nearby include Kaptenshamn hotell and hostel (http://kaptenshamn.com/) central and close to train station, about 20 min walk to Halmstad University; Profil Hotels Halmstad Plaza (https://ligula.se/profilhotels/profilhotels-halmstad/) close to the train station and the University, Good Morning Hotel (http://ligula.se/en/goodmorninghotels/halmstad/) cheap hotel inside mall close to buses to the university or a 35 min walk.
How to get here
The university is a 15 min walk from Halmstad C. Öresundståg have direct trains from Cph, Malmö and Gbg (tickets also valid on local buses). From Stockholm go to Gothenburg by train (SJ or VR) and change to Öresundståg to Halmstad. From Oslo go to Gothenburg and change to Öresundståg to Halmstad. Buses also go from/to Oslo (Flexbuss) which are cheap although not as frequent.
Local buses to and from the university run frequently.
What to bring
Walking shoes (for day 2), a 1-minute presentation of yourself and a small object/image representing your research (optional) for the presentation round on day 1.
