I am a hunter, my husband and son are also hunters. Many of my customers hunt. I take great exception to being likened to pornographers, bullies and online groomers! This clumsy use of a rabbit hunting scenario to illustrate inappropriate content unfairly likens hunters to pornographers, bullies and online groomers.
Content such as this, which also illustrates ludicrously bad firearms practices, implies that hunting is wrong and something to be afraid of.
Hunting is a major recreational activity in New Zealand, nearly 200,000 people hunt and they do so responsibly and humanely.
For many New Zealanders hunting is a family activity. Most Kiwi hunters progressively learn their hunting skills from mum and dad and it is a really positive part of many kiwi childhoods.
Hunting, whether that be for small game like rabbits or ducks or for big game species like deer or wild pigs, not only serves an important animal management and conservation function but also provides food for the family and a healthy form of outdoor recreation. I would suggest you need to expand your creative team to include a much more real world range of experiences and view points.
Most children and teenagers use the internet daily for schoolwork, entertainment, or socialising. Even though the internet can be a great resource for children and teenagers, there are also potential dangers. These dangers include cyberbullying, online predators, and exposure to offensive material.
As a parent, you are responsible for ensuring that your children are safe online and offline. A parental control app will give you peace of mind knowing that your child is safe and sound.
Children are increasingly at risk of being targeted online, not only by cyberbullies but also by predators. The parental control software can help you track whether your kids are being cyberbullied. Then you can assist them and have the appropriate conversations to ensure their safety.
Your kids may be exposed to mature content on the internet. They are therefore at risk of cyberbullying and there is also a possibility that online predators might be contacting them. To keep your kids safe online, you should install parental control apps on their tech devices.
The safety.kiwi ecommerce webshop is operated by Accurate Instruments (NZ) Ltd.

At Netsafe we provide online safety support, expertise and education to all New Zealanders as part of our role under the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015. We have a responsibility to help people of all ages and children are a key focus area.
Kids are making the most of online opportunities for entertainment, learning and socialising but are less engaged in activities like discussing social problems online, writing a blog or connecting with people from a different background online.
There is a big jump in the use of the internet to connect with others over social media between 12 and 14 years. Socialising online brings a new set of opportunities and challenges and the finding suggests the pre-teen age bracket may be an important intervention period to help children develop online safety skills.
There are gender differences in how kids engage online. The research found girls were more likely to use instant messaging and photo-sharing apps while boys were more likely to be using the internet for online gaming.
October kicks off kiwifruit season, which lasts through May. The tasty green fruit is great in salads, smoothies, and desserts. And it might have an added bonus of helping to ease chronic constipation, according to a small randomized trial. Scientists asked more than 180 adults (some with constipation, some without) in Italy, Japan, and New Zealand to take part in two four-week courses of treatment. In one regimen, they ate two peeled kiwifruits per day. In the other, they took 7.5 grams of psyllium (a natural ingredient found in fiber supplements such as Metamucil or Fiberall) daily. The order of the two regimens was randomly assigned, and participants took a four-week break in between. The results: both treatments seemed to help constipated participants produce more bowel movements and experience less straining and abdominal pain, with kiwi being slightly more effective than psyllium. Scientists say kiwi contains not only fiber (about 3 grams per half-cup serving), but also raphides (natural needle-shaped crystals), which both help improve bowel function. The findings were published in the June 2023 issue of The American Journal of Gastroenterology.
Whether a company has hired new employees, launched a new product, or simply wants to keep their employees safe, employee training programs are needed all the time. The right training enables employees to perform well on their jobs at all times, and always be safe in doing so.
Compliance training educates employees on the laws and regulations of their job function or industry. These laws aim to maintain the safety of the workplace and to prevent poor conduct from employees. A good compliance training program helps to minimize risk, provide a better environment for employees to work in, and maintain a good reputation.
It entails such important human life assets, however, Health, Safety and Security Training is not given by many organizations. They take measures to keep their data/information secured, but neglect keeping their employees safe.
Depending on the industry the company operates in, there are certain regulations the employees need to make sure to follow. As such, there are mandatory trainings they must take. For example, restaurants and bars with liquor licenses need their bartenders to be alcohol-safety certified. Also, a few state laws have made it mandatory for public and private companies to deliver sexual harassment trainings to employees.
Food handlers are required by law to make sure that food is safe for human consumption, and as such, food businesses have to ensure any staff who handle food are supervised properly and receive food hygiene training.
Safety training is so important for all business types. It is constant continual training. Knowing how to put together safety plans and finding resources for safety tips and then training on those things will help keep a safer work environment. Remember though safety training is an ongoing process, not just a one time thing.
