Syllabus and Classroom Expectations
Course
We will study the social, political, economic, racial, religious and technological changes that have occurred in the United States from the 1500’s to the 1800’s.
Book and Materials
There will be a set of books available for class time use. Students need to BE PREPARED with their class materials.
We use Google Classroom for many assignments. Students are given the class code once class starts. We watch a variety of short and long American History videos- most are available online.
Grading
Each piece of work is assigned points. You can access Infinite Campus to review your grade.
Class Work
Work is due when assigned. I accept late work and work with all students to meet their needs.
EXTRA CREDIT is given the day of the test or on specific assignments.
Tests
Tests are given after every topic studied. They are multiple choice, true false, matching and short essay questions. You may use your notes, homework packet and other materials approved by me.

We write in class using short answer to multi-paragraph essays. We create storyboards on topics or movies studied.
