I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Rhodes University.
My research interests are mostly on the sound-related side of the field: how phonetics, phonology and morphology (and sometimes syntax) interact. My work focuses particularly on under-studied African languages, and I'm also very interested in endangered language description & documentation.
Feel free to look around, more stuff is added here from time to time. The Research section can tell you a bit about the projects I'm working on at the moment, including some languages I've looked at - if you're working on any of them, feel free to email me! The Papers section has some downloadable instantiations of my work (more stuff is on the way). The Useful Links section should be self-explanatory.
This website was busted up by google sites conversion, and I haven't gotten around to updating in quite some time. Till then: courage.
