W&M AI4Health is a new interdisciplinary hub dedicated to leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address critical challenges in healthcare. Our mission is to integrate William & Mary's significant strengths in AI with the pressing healthcare needs of our community. We foster collaboration across disciplines to drive research, enhance education, and create tangible, real-world impact.
We focus on cutting-edge translational AI research that moves from the lab to the community, including developing innovative wearable sensor technology to improve senior mobility.
To create a leading ecosystem for AI in healthcare that unites researchers, students, clinicians, and community members to solve complex problems and improve quality of life.
Our work is rooted in community engagement. We partner with local healthcare providers and senior living communities to ensure our solutions are practical, effective, and accessible.
