My name is Wei-Jie Liao, and I am from Taichung, Taiwan. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Public Management at CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I received my Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. My areas of specialization are public budgeting and finance as well as public policy.
My research interests include citizen participation in public budgeting, fiscal health, capital budgeting, debt management, and public policy. My dissertation examined the use of one citizen participation mechanism, budget simulations, in the United States.
My teaching interests include introduction to public administration, public budgeting and finance, public policy, program planning and evaluation, and applied statistics.
