Electrified water treatment is a transformative technology that not only preserves a clean water environment but also drives sustainable resource recovery. At the Sustainable Electrocatalysis Engineering Lab (SEEL), we focus on controlling organic pollutants in wastewater and seawater systems, minimizing harmful discharges, and converting contaminants into valuable resources through electrochemical redox reactions. To achieve this, we leverage the principles of electrochemistry and catalysis science to design cutting-edge electrocatalysts and develop more efficient, cost-effective electrochemical processes, integrating advanced electroanalytical techniques. With this approach, we explore the intersection of electrochemistry, sustainability, and resource recovery to shape the future of chemical manufacturing.
