The first Wizard Annual Invitational Tournament took place in Welland, Ontario, Canada on July 4, 2026. This was not an Open Tournament, as participation was restricted to a select group of outstanding players by invitation.

Eleven of the sixteen invited players had represented their countries as qualifying champions at the Wizard World Championship. Consequently, the field was more accomplished than that of any previous tournament. It included Mario Phénix, the defending 2025 champion.

Players travelled considerable distances to participate in this landmark event. Only seven were from Ontario; others came from Québec, the United States, and Europe.

Ken Fisher, the creator of Wizard, was in attendance along with his wife, Joan.

The President of U.S. Games Systems, Inc., Ricardo Cruz, was also in attendance.

Overall organization was led by Tim Burton and Carles Rodon managed gameplay operations.

A celebratory dinner with presentations followed the tournament.

Final 4 results:

1.     Carles Rodon - Catalunya, Spain

2.    Sabine Werner - Bayern, Germany

3.    Debi Arnoni - Ontario, Canada

4.   Linda George - Ontario, Canada

The 2026 tournament is intended to be the first of an annual series.
