Intelligent transportation has made tremendous progress in the recent years over a wide range of areas, including driver assistance, autonomous vehicles, V2V communication, platooning, energy efficiency, etc. It has also become one of the largest engineering and sciences research community.
While it is increasingly attracting talented scholars to engage in problem solving real world transportation problems, the percentage of female leaders and researchers both in the academia and in the industry is still relatively low. As a result, most female researchers working in intelligent transportation feel isolated and don’t have a lot of opportunities to meet with other women. This meet and greet networking event for Women in Intelligent Transportation Systems is a gathering for both women and men working in intelligent transportation.
The goal is to:
What: 1st WiTS meet and greet networking event in conjunction with IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium 2017
When: June 12th, 2017, 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Where: Crown Plaza, Redondo Beach, CA, USA (Room: TBD)
