Seung Jae is an incoming PhD student in Computaional Biology and Bioinformatics at University of Southern California (USC). He got both of his Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Hanyang University. He worked with Professor Mina Rho at Data Mining and Bioinformatics Lab during his Master's degree, and was also supervised by Professor Yongjun Park during his first degree.
His research interests include bioinformatics, genomics, and deep learning. More specifically, he focuses on extracting intrinsic features from genomic data and applying deep learning algorithms to solve biological problems in novel ways.
Apart from academic interests, he is into playing tennis and traveling around the world!
