Outsider Art Fair: In Paris - during October 2018 - as part of the fair (which is showing at Atelier Richelieu, 60 rue de Richelieu; www.outsiderartfair.com) a panel of experts will meet at Auction House #9 in rue Drouot for a discussion on ‘Discovering 170 Years of Historic Art Works by Patients of Mental Asylums’. Those experts will include -
- Thomas Röske: director Prinzhorn Collection, Heidelberg; president European Outsider Art Association
- Professor Katrin Luchsinger, Zürcher Hochschule für Kunst, funded by Swiss government to conserve art produced by asylum patients in 19th Century
- Dr Elisabeth Telsnig: researching more than a century of Salzburg's medical files and the art brut of Joseph Hofer
- Dr David O’Flynn, psychiatrist and board chair of the Adamson Collection (part of the Wellcome Collection of patient art at Lambeth Hospital, London)
- Dr Anne-Marie Dubois, psychiatrist and director of the art collection of the Centre d’etude d’expression, Musée d’Art et d’Histoire de l’Hôpital Sainte-Anne, Paris.
